Amazing holiday

We booked a last minute holiday and had the best time. The hotel was lovely and very clean. It's recently been updated and looks so nice. We went the end of November so it was very quiet and limited things were open due to the season ending the last day
We booked a last minute holiday and had the best time. The hotel was lovely and very clean. It's recently been updated and looks so nice. We went the end of November so it was very quiet and limited things were open due to the season ending the last day of our trip but this didn't affect our holiday at all.
All the staff were lovely and helpful, the food was great as were the drinks.
Would definitely come back in the summer for the full experience but wouldn't mind the winter either!

Vox Maris Resort is located about 60 km from the airport, which took us approximately 1.5 hours by bus. In return, the hotel is conveniently close to the ancient part of Side, a mere 20-minute walk, and just as close to the town center.
The hotel itself looks relatively modern yet simple compared to other hotels in the area. It’s a new hotel, opened in May this year, but signs of frequent guest use are already visible (e.g., cigarette burns, a torn skirting board here and there). The rooms are spread across six floors in a building divided into two wings. Its centerpiece is a spacious lobby featuring a 24-hour bar and a café. The bar offers local and imported alcohol, and the bartenders are happy to serve colorful cocktails, even those not on the menu—highly recommended! The café provides good coffee, excellent tea, local sweets, and freshly made sandwiches daily.
Every evening, various activities took place in the lobby, such as bingo, concerts, and karaoke.
On the floor below, you’ll find a large restaurant and rooms with direct pool access (a rather narrow pool, about 1.4 m deep, perfect for a morning swim). There’s also a small souvenir shop, a store with t-shirts and knick-knacks, a photographer, a bag and suitcase shop, a hairdresser, and even an optician.
Restaurant
The restaurant offers a full meal package. The menu is highly diverse, with minimal repetition beyond a few staples. Themed dinners, fresh seafood, fish, delicious lamb, and other Turkish and international delicacies, including beautifully presented and tasty desserts, were highlights. Every day, the desserts changed, and those that weren’t eaten were moved to the café, where they quickly disappeared.
We stayed in a room with one double and one single bed. The room overlooked the pool, but despite the daily entertainment there, the noise was inaudible once the window was closed. The room was cozy, bright, and spacious, with a small balcony equipped with chairs and a table. The minibar was restocked daily (soft drinks, water, and beer). There was also a TV with a few Polish channels.
Rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh linens and towels unless we signaled otherwise using a special switch. A nice touch from the cleaning staff was the towel art that greeted us. The wardrobe also contained a free safe.
The bathroom had a large, open shower, a sink with a spacious countertop, a hairdryer, and standard toiletries.
Hotel Grounds
The hotel area is well-maintained, not overly large but lush with greenery, making it pleasant to the eye. There is a central pool 1.4 m deep, three slides with a smaller pool, and a children’s paddling pool with a mini slide. The pool area had enough loungers, and we never encountered the dreaded “lounger reservation” problem. There’s a poolside bar open from 10 AM to 10 PM (or 3 AM), and on the opposite side of the pool is the Food Stop, where ice cream, waffles, and fast food were served until 5 PM. Above the Food Stop was a stage and a small playground for kids.
Below the restaurant, there’s a spa with a wide range of treatments and massages, a heated indoor pool, a game room, and a nightclub.
Beach
The hotel has its own sandy beach with a gentle entry into the sea. It’s located less than a kilometer from the hotel, easily reachable on foot or by shuttle bus running every 15 minutes. We only took the bus once, just for the experience. Since the hotel is near a busy dual carriageway, you need to cross it and walk down a rocky path to get to the beach.
At the beach, there’s a bar offering drinks, coffee, snacks, ice cream, and slushies. There were plenty of loungers and umbrellas. A lifeguard was present from 10 AM to 7 PM. An animator organized games and activities on the beach as well.
Service
The hotel staff were polite, always helpful, and cheerful. They were happy to engage in small talk but weren’t pushy about it.
As a farewell gesture, the hotel gave us a fruit basket and wine, which was a lovely touch.
Overall Impression
Our overall experience with the hotel was very positive, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Perfect for a few days in the sun

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It was our first time in Turkey so we weren’t sure what to expect.
ARRIVAL

- It was a smooth check in and staff were welcoming and helpful with luggage
FOOD
- Lots to choose from, and different areas to eat throughout the day for snacks and lunch items.
- Eating areas were always spotlessly clean, chefs always keeping an eye on the food and floors being swept.
- Cats were often found in the main canteen area. They didn’t bother guests or staff, it appeared to be normal to have them roaming around.
- The food areas were never busy and plenty of places to sit.
- Staff were excellent at clearing away plates, but not so quick to take drink orders which was disappointing.
- Very much ‘canteen style’ eating, no welcome into the dining area and no assigned seating.
ROOMS
- We stayed on the 6th floor. Interior design of the room was lovely, balcony had a great view, and had a bath tub on it!!
- I would highly recommend getting a room with a nice view/bath as it was amazing watching the sunset. We did this every evening and it was the highlight of the holiday.
- Rooms were cleaned to a high standard and mini bar was topped up every day with 2 beers / fizzy drinks.
- Only negative was a horrid sewerage smell that came from the air con / vents every morning. It even woke us up once, it was that bad. We had to open the balcony doors to eliminate the smell which quickly disappeared.
POOL AREA
- Always kept very clean
- We would go to the pool about 11am every day and there was always a vast amount of sunbeds to choose from in lots of different locations around the pool.
- Bar area was nice and welcoming
- The pool was FREEZING! For some people this will be ideal, but not for me. Assume this would be warmer in the summer months.
- The area was set out lovely and had a nice vibe to it.
OTHER
- The hotel entertainment felt a bit random? There was a board with daily activities but this didn’t seem to be followed? Possibly because no interest/quieter month?
- Evening entertainment was outside but was far too cold to sit out. They did have blankets but this would have been much better inside, or with heating lamps outside.
- The staff/guests are mainly German speaking. It was difficult to ask questions and order food in English as most did not understand.
- There isn’t much to do in the local area, or in a close walking proximity from the hotel.
- There is a beach nearby, and the hotel offers transport to this.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re after a few days in the sun and happy to stay in the hotel and relax. Spotlessly clean throughout and wide variety of food and drink to choose from.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them, they were always smiling especially Yasmin and Ali Han in the lobby bar and Enim at the pool bar. Food was plentiful and varied, the hotel was full but they still managed to accommodate everyone. A couple of recommendations would be more seating in the lobby bar and a map of Side in reception as some guests we met had difficulty finding their way to the ancient city, whereas it is only about 15 minutes walk or a quick local bus ride if you know which way to go. A very good holiday, we would definitely recommend this hotel.
