The hotel was perfect, the food was delicious. Great atmosphere, vacation in this hotel in Zakynthos was unforgettable. And I have to praise the hotel manager, a very kind, pleasant person who smiles every day. We would very much like to come back here again sometime.The hotel was perfect, the food was delicious. Just returned from a week at this hotel when we arrived the hotel looked fab we booked a pool view our room was really good very comfortable bed with all the things you need cleaning was done daily the only downside we had was our balcony was the smallest onJust returned from a week at this hotel when we arrived the hotel looked fab we booked a pool view our room was really good very comfortable bed with all the things you need cleaning was done daily the only downside we had was our balcony was the smallest on the site we struggled to sit out there there by pool area is very good clean and water is pristine food in the hotel is very poor cold and repetitive there is no entertainment in the evenings and not much room to sit I would hate to go here at peak season as only one side of the pool gets sun all day long the drinks are very watered down overall I would rate the hotel at best a 3plus star ⭐️ the staff are great tho especially in the restaurant

We arrived home yesterday after spending 11 nights at this hotel.
I will start with the positive points first. The hotel was contemporary and sleek. Our room was really comfortable and spacious. Most of the staff were polite and helpful. Negative points. Food was really unacceptable for a 5 star hotel, I have honestly had far better food in some 3 star hotels. Lack of variety, lukewarm food and on the last 2 evenings because the hotel was quiter they reduce the amount of food served. The wine served at the hotel again was cheap plonk. Absolutely ridiculous for a country that produces some nice wines and again totally unacceptable for a hotel that is calling themselves a 5 star hotel to be serving such substandard products.
We found the reception staff on a few occasions to be quite dismissive.
The surrounding areas very scruffy looking and unattractive. Certainly not the nicest resort in Greece that I have stayed in.

As a well travelled couple hopefully this review is open, honest and fair.
TRANSFER - We use an app called Get Transfer and it is great. We had a luxury chauffeur pick up and return for €37. Highly recommended. Only 10-15 mins from airport.

TRANSFER - We use an app called Get Transfer and it is great. We had a luxury chauffeur pick up and return for €37. Highly recommended. Only 10-15 mins from airport.
ARRIVAL - There was a strong smell of drains at the entrance of the hotel but don’t let that put you off. Check in was fast and reception staff lovely. You have to pay deposits to hire iron and towels. Iron was €20 for the week and towels €10 each and can be changed daily at reception no problem. On return you get the deposits back.
ROOM - We stayed in Room 2015. Pleasantly surprised as we had booked a standard Double with land view and given Triple with pool view (overlooking the smaller pool) with a lovely little balcony. Although modern the facilities were pretty basic for a 5*. Kettle with a few tea bags and coffee sachets. Fridge that didn’t get cold. 2-3 Miniature Shampoos and Conditioners. There was a Nespresso but no capsules. We bought milk from the shop but the fridge didn’t keep it cool. Our cleaner did make the beds daily and swapped towels but never in the whole week replace toilet rolls, tea and coffee or the shower gel and shampoo. We had to ask for these at reception. We did try to exchange pleasantries with our cleaner each day when we seen him but he never once spoke back to us. This was a shame as the rest of the staff were lovely and always welcoming.
POOL - There are 2 pools. A larger pool that we mostly used as if you picked a good spot you got sun all day. There was plenty of loungers but space was quite limited. Although there is a rule not to reserve loungers there were many days that good spots were taken up by people leaving towels down early but not using until afternoon. This was a little frustrating but didn’t ruin our time. Water was very cold! But it was refreshing once in and swimming around. Pool and surrounding area was spotless. The smaller pool tended to be in the shade most of the day and was quieter. Again spotlessly clean. There was water aerobics on and music around the larger pool but it was quite a nice chilled vibe.
FOOD & DRINK - There is a main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff were lovely and the area was always clean. Drinks were self service for beer, wine, soft drinks and hot beverages. Food selection was not bad but I am a fussy eater! I stuck to the basics. The food wasn’t hot. It was warm at best. Included in the all inclusive was a snack bar by the pool bar. We preferred to eat there. A nice selection of 5-6 items such as burgers, gyros, fries and made to order. Always hot and tasty. The two young female staff were so lovely and welcoming. There is one bar which is in-between the two pools. Alcoholic drinks including cocktails were basic. You could pay extra for branded spirits and better cocktails however. There was a lovely rooftop terrace with tables and chairs and a few loungers where we spent a few hours in the afternoon. Was a little sun trap.
Overall we had a great stay and would recommend the hotel. We would not go back but this is not because of the hotel. We just didn’t think much of Laganas it was quite run down and the beach down the road was not well kept and looked quite scruffy.
