A hotel of the highest standard.

Wow what a hotel this is! I have stayed all over the world and this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
The hotel facilities are excellent, there are plenty of bars pools and restaurants, with food available for most of the day. The quality of the food isWow what a hotel this is! I have stayed all over the world and this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
The hotel facilities are excellent, there are plenty of bars pools and restaurants, with food available for most of the day. The quality of the food is very good, the menu doesn’t have typical English dishes but you don’t come to Egypt to eat English food. The food from the BBQ and pita oven is excellent and changes every day.
The Al a Carte restaurants are very good, we tried all three and each time we had beautiful meals. The hotel is very clean with people working round the clock and the rooms are of a high standard. All staff are very friendly and can’t do enough for you. Special shout out to Ms Safy who helped with a number of things including getting tape and cardboard for an improvised suitcase repair after being damaged in Cairo.
The entertainment team are very good, the night time shows were always interesting though they only last about 30mins, in between kiddy disco and adult disco. The jazz bar might be the nicest bar on site but only opens when sport is on.
There isn’t much outside of the hotel, but do visit the 3 pyramid’s shop across the road and walk left. The prices are very good.
We went to the marina which is beautiful and also the aquarium where to our surprise you can hand feed monkeys! We also did the glass bottom boat which we booked through the hotel, the glass bottom boat is the best we’ve been on due to the variety of fish you see.
We also went on an overnight trip to Cairo which we booked before travelling and I would greatly recommend this. It’s a tiring 2 days but you get to see so much.
In conclusion if you are looking for a beautiful hotel with excellent food, service and facilities the Bellagio is the hotel for you.

This was the first time to Hurghada. We travelled with our friends and stayed in the bungalows. They were in the process of updating some of the rooms in the main hotel while we were there. They were in the process of updating some of the rooms in the main hotel while we were there. The bungalows are away from the main complex and overlook the sea. The shower could do with updating as it leaked over the bathroom floor. We informed the lady from customer relations and she had already been informed of it by other residents. She said that she would put our suggestions forward for the relevant alterations. The room was cleaned and replenished on a daily basis. The bungalows have their own roof terrace. We did not use it that much as their were plenty of loungers on the beach with it's sea breeze.
We ate in the buffet restaurants and snack bar. There was plenty of choice. We would have tried the Al Le carte restaurants but you had to book 72 hours before and choose your food at time of booking. This put us off as we may not have fancied what we had chosen on the actual day.
The staff were extremely friendly and remembered what your preferred drink was, even days later. We would book again and are hoping to do so within the next 2 years.

Stayed a week with a friend at this resort and we had a great time. The resort is big and clean. Enough different options at the buffet restaurants, would recommend to book the Asian restaurant on site though. That was amazing.

The staff go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. It was my friend’s birthday while we were there and they made a birthday cake for her. That was so nice.
The room was comfortable, the beds are big, the matras is soft and the pillows are great. Slept like a baby.
Another bonus is the guest relations service. A lovely lady approached us a couple of times and asked us if we were happy and if we needed anything in our room. What a nice service to ask for feedback. Never seen that before in a hotel.
So why not 5 stars? The only thing that was sometimes annoying was the rather loud presence of some members of the animation team. I know they need to be pumped to get guests to join whatever they are organising but a little less would be great. I could go without the daily aqua gym with the loud music and the yelling of the instructor/animation team member.
On other occasions the music is loud at the pool. One time we asked to lower the volume because we were sitting underneath a speaker that was blown up and at once they turned off the music to our and others delight. They told us they were aware of the bad speakers and they were fixing it.
If you find yourself sitting at the pool ask for an ‘Ahmed special’ at the pool bar and thank me later 😁

Avoid hair salon! Great location and service could be better!

We travelled with friends, a group of 6 people in total which included two children. We have travelled as a group all over the world, I have never felt the need to share my experiences on here, as I have never experienced something that has made me feel the needWe travelled with friends, a group of 6 people in total which included two children. We have travelled as a group all over the world, I have never felt the need to share my experiences on here, as I have never experienced something that has made me feel the need to however, I want to make sure someone else who wants to spend their hard earned money on a holiday, know what to expect before booking here. We had some expectations of what we would experience, but we were shocked by the complete lack of willingness to assist or help, by the reception staff, who had a totally unbothered attitude and sometimes were offensively rude. We booked two swim up rooms (DON’T BOTHER, WASTE OF MONEY) very out dated rooms, dirty and dangerous, wires hanging out the walls and the outside patio constantly covered in bird poo! We asked to be moved to the main hotel, we were told the hotel was fully booked and to come back at 2pm the next day. So after one night in the swim up rooms and a lot of back and forth to the reception (and lots of lots of me presenting photos of my concerns and nearing tears) we were moved. The room we were moved to in the main building was beautiful! We had a lovely stay, apart from the food not really to our liking and not good if you have children who like beige foods (nuggets burgers etc haha) the marina in a short 20 min taxi ride (only use blue and orange taxis) where the food is unreal! Definitely try the Chinese at the marina the steak and the starters 10/10. The prices at the marina are really good, x6 starters, x6 mains and x3 rounds of drinks £80-£100. Trips: quad biking and Orange Bay were fantastic, but make sure you have cash as there no card machines when your in certain areas. Entertainment team were great! The stars of the show in my opinion, could play more English music however, still enjoyed listening to the music. We came to the end of holiday after 10 days, check out was at 12 midday and weren’t being picked up until 7pm. We decided to use the spa and hair salon to freshen up after our final day in the pool. The Spa is fantastic, helpful staff and very clean however, the hairdressers who completed treatments on myself and my friend didn’t have a clue what they were doing! We booked a moisturising treatment and a blow dry £35. My hair looked good right up until she started straightening my hair, I noticed the smell and sound of my hair burning as she straightened the first section, going over one piece of hair several times. I asked her to turn the heat on the straighteners down and only go over the hair once, she ignored me and continued until I felt the burnt ends of my my hair, I asked her to stop doing my hair, she didn’t listen again and continued to put a stupid amount of oil in my hair (covering her mistake of singeing my hair) I showed my husband my singed hair and burst in to tears as the damage she had caused was shocking (some might say don’t so silly but I’ve been growing my hair for years as I struggle due to having finer hair) the lady doing my hair became defensive and very rude (got in my face saying WHAT DO YOU WANT!!) I asked to speak to the salon manager, he was really helpful and offered to correct their mistake free of charge (the cheek of it haha) I reluctantly said yes, they cut around 1/2 an inch off my hair (I was devastated) I am now home and have to spend money on treatments for my hair and will more than likely need another 1-2 inches cut off my hair! Don’t use the hairdresser on the hotel! Moral of the review: book with low expectations and you’ll be fine! Would I return to the hotel? Yes, but will avoid the salon and will not eat at the hotel, the location of the hotel and cheap taxi prices are perfect to travel to the marina each night.
