Normal hotel, but never 4 stars

The first impression of the hotel could be great, in the web pages look very good but is not like in the web page.
The hotel is not bad at all, noooo, but is not the "same".
The lobby/recepcion is like a "bunker" with big metal doors (just info, not complain)

The breakfast is basic, even is buffet, no so much options and many cakes, only one tipe of bread, just one type of cheese, only one type of jam (basic ham from supermarket).
The room if a normal size, cleaned every day, but is normal, is not 4 stars ever, just 3 stars hotel.
The bathroom was "good". The shower launch water everywhere, and many small things need a little bit of care
The staff is great, and very polite.
The hotel is in a residential area, 15 minutes walking from the Metro MC.
There is a very nice restaurant close to the hotel.
The TV channel are only locals channels, and even, is digital TV but the remote control doesn't allow to switch the language/subtitles (in info you can watch is coming the broadcast is in original language also)

Simple and clean hotel with some mines.

The hotel is simple but very clean and repaired. Rooms are cleaned every day. Give several new towels, soap and toilet paper every day.
Breakfast is normal, croissants and cakes, fruit,vegatables, breakfast cereals, eggs and sausages. As well as several types of coffee and juices.
Next door is a shop. There are bus stops and a metro station nearby. Located in a quiet residential area. One and a half downtown. City centre is far away.
Some mines:
Weak shower pressure ir the bathroom.
Low light in the room.
It's very cold in all rooms, like in the fridge.
Missing for real meat in breakfast.
One evening, the beverage dispenser broke. I threw 1.50 euros for ice tea, but the machine didn't give a drink or money back. There's nowhere to get water in the evenings, no free water in the hotel and all the neighborhood stores are closed.
The staff are not very friendly. One morning we didn't notice what the clock was and we went to breakfast at 10.15 am. In the breakfast room, the door was open, the lights were on and the table was still full of food. We came in and a tall woman with black short hair started screaming very angrily at us. Said breakfast was closed and drove us away with empty stomachs. It was very unpleasant. If it is closed, you must close the door or place a sign in front of you. It was a decent hotel, I'd say this is more of a premier Inn type of hotel, there's not much range when it comes to breakfast, bacon and eggs and mostly cake. It's quite far from Rome center so will need to get the metro, 15 minutes walk to the metro and then about 30 minutes on the metro to Rome center. I think getting charged £45 for tourist tax is ridiculous, especially being far out, with this extra money could have booked a hotel closer to Rome center.

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Train station is directly across the street. Fast check in. Helpful staff. Popular spot for tourists.

Loved my stay at the Plaza Hotel. Perfect location from station and other places of interest. So clean! Lovely staff. I booked the family room for my friend and I. Very clean hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Walking distance to restaurants. Breakfast was not included, but it was reasonably priced for the quality of the food (€9). Very spacious room! Excellent location, right across the street from the train station. And the bus terminal is only a 5 min walk for travelling to the airport. Staff were friendly.
