Unforgettable experience

I had an amazing experience staying at this hotel from the moment we arrived on arrival there was a problem with our booking that me and my family encountered due to our travel operator which was resolved quickly by Mr Makrem Chami who was very helpful and friendly made sureI had an amazing experience staying at this hotel from the moment we arrived on arrival there was a problem with our booking that me and my family encountered due to our travel operator which was resolved quickly by Mr Makrem Chami who was very helpful and friendly made sure we had a good experience and stay throughout our 9 nights. The hotel has many facilities a fun atmosphere, entertainment team would make sure everyone is having a good time and provide activities and show performances. The food and drinks section has a variety of choices where you won’t be struggling to choose from and everything is made with quality. All staff make sure you have a good time the hotel has nice views everywhere you go, at the beach there is a good selection of watersports and plenty of space to relax you can’t go wrong by staying at this hotel it was a unforgettable experience looking forward to come back again.

First time travelling to Tunisia and first time staying in an Iberostar property. Absolutely couldn’t fault it.
We were a family of 2 parents (late 40’s) and 2 teenagers (16 & 14)
The hotel is beautiful- so luxurious, modern, well- maintained and elegant.

The hotel is beautiful- so luxurious, modern, well- maintained and elegant.
Check- in was smooth. Tight security (including x-ray machine) on arrival- felt reassuring and security staff very polite and courteous. Porters were immediately there to take bags and offer chilled welcome drinks. Reception staff were friendly, professional and welcoming.
I had requested 2 rooms, close together if possible. They were unable to accommodate both rooms on the same floor- once they saw the second room was for our teenage children, they moved quickly to arrange an upgraded Suite with a connecting room.
Our housekeeper Naleema looked after us throughout our stay, which was nice. The room was immaculate and nothing we required was too much trouble. She always had a lovely smile and a friendly word, and was happy to come back later if one of us was resting in the afternoon. 5 stars 🌟
Hotel facilities were excellent- infinity saltwater pool was the highlight for us- pure bliss.
Main pool was livelier and featured activities from animation team. Gentle activities such as yoga and French Bowls were also welcome.
Lovely selection of sunbeds with mattresses, Bali beds and Cabanas available. Pool area, gardens and beach all with plenty of space, so you didn’t feel cramped.
Freshwater showers, toilets and bar at both pool area and beach. Snack bar and food truck available at beach also with covered dining area.
Food was incredible in this hotel. Best food I’ve ever had on holiday anywhere. Wide selection, beautifully prepared and presented.
Breakfast served 7-10am.
Lunch 12:30-2:30pm
Dinner 6:30-9:30pm
Snack bar 3-5pm
Different sections for different cuisines- Tunisian, Italian, Tapas, Grilled fish/meats- all available every day, with the addition of Chefs Specials cooked/served to request eg. Paella, crepes, kebab, beef wellington, seafood pasta etc.
Fresh salad bar and vegan dishes always available and always different.
Lovely terrace for a pre-dinner cocktail, with great waiting staff (special mention for Waleed- who always had our drinks prepared and served with some bar nibbles by the time we sat down!)
Entertainment wasn’t really our thing as we tended to play a hand or two of cards after dinner, then head to bed around 10:30- but each to their own! The stage area down by the beach was always popular and had a different show every night.
Each hotel has their own section of the beach guarded by lifeguards and security personnel. It is clearly marked and whilst you can walk along the whole beach, the sand is very soft and deep. Most people tended to stick to their own zone, that helped with the feeling of security to be honest. Water sports available by private contractors, but they are licensed by the hotels- so are regulated and fixed price.
We tried parachute, jet ski and banana boat- all good fun and reasonably priced.
Beach and sea were very clean. Waiter service down at the beach also.
2 in our party got stung by jellyfish (July) - it’s the time of year for them and we knew that. So you take your chance- but boy it hurts!!!
The heat in July was intense- around 36/37 Celsius each day- we expected it, but the reality of it was tough enough. The sun absolutely dictates your day and you spend your time seeking shade and or in water!
I would have like to have explored the area more, but would need to travel at a different time of the year.
We visited the marina one morning and the old medina in Sousse another morning, but by 11:30- it’s too much for us pale Irish folk.
If you like to get out and about- go in off season.
We also did Quad Biking one morning, an organised excursion by the hotel- great experience 10/10.
All in all- loved our time in Kantaoui Bay.
I don’t think we will return to Tunisia for a summer holiday as it’s just too hot for us- but we will absolutely book with Iberostar again- faultless!

Amazing holiday at an amazing Hotel

Fantastic place very clean, our cleaner was Halima she was brilliant top cleaner.
Food was excellent massive choice. Our waiter was Tanell he is a top waiter couldn’t do more for us, he should be training others or managing dinning area.

I've had the pleasure of staying at this hotel every summer for the past 3 years. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, especially Mr. Makram, the head of reception, and Mr. Marwen, the hotel director.

Fantastic hotel, you'll not be disappointed!

This was a first visit to Tunisia for my wife and I and we have to say this is definitely a fantastic hotel well worth a visit. On arrival we checked in fairly easily and welcomed by the reception staff and given a welcome drink. On arrival we checked in fairly easily and welcomed by the reception staff and given a welcome drink. A short time later were shown to our room by a very happy member of staff. We stayed in room 121, which was just a short distance from the lifts. We had a double pool view room, but were lucky enough we could see more of the sea than the pool, so glad didn't pay extra for a sea view room. The room itself was very spacious and ample for 2 people.
The lady who cleaned our room (sorry we can't remember your name) was 5 star from start to finish, always had a smile on her face and couldn't do enough for us the whole time we were there, room was spotless and everything we needed. She ask us everyday if everything was ok and if we need anything else, always worked hard in hot conditions and credit to her.
The hotel itself was lovely and well kept, the large entrance foyer was classy looking. The food and drinks in the main restaurant and the pool/beach bar were very good and plentiful and all the staff worked tirelessly from morning to night and deserve all the tips they are given and more. We didn't try the other 2 on site restaurants namely the Tunisian and Italian so can't comment on those. We spent everyday on the beach which is beautiful and again the staff were everyone a 5 star and always made sure you had enough food and drinks to keep you going all day long. The onsite water sports on the beach are a bonus too and well worth a go.
The entertainment staff at the hotel were 100% committed from morning to night and never stopped making sure everyone had a good time.
The only downside for us was, which I may add is only our opinion, but we were a bit apprehensive about leaving the hotel and travelling out and about, so spent all our time at the hotel apart from one trip on a Catamaran down by the port which was very enjoyable. All in all we had a great holiday and would recommend the Kantaoui Bay Hotel to anyone, not a cloud in the sky the whole week!!
