Wonderful hotel. Location excellent. Food outstanding. Staff extremely helpful. Guest services manager Karina could not have been more helpful. So glad we came here. Would return. We had a 4 night break in the Pestana Royal and we were Royally looked after. Staff were great and we had a fantastically relaxed stay. Food was great, fresh salads, always good choices, fish, meats and vegetarian. We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely hotel. All the staff are friendly, polite, attentive and efficient, from the reception staff to the waiting team, bar tenders and housekeeping team. Our room was clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom and superb views of the sea and the gardens.We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom and superb views of the sea and the gardens. The latter are kept immaculately, as are the pool areas. The food was of good quality with excellent choices. In fact, it was the best AI food that we have had. We enjoyed lovely drinks and I personally enjoyed the rosé. The courtesy bus into the centre is a bonus and we used it a lot. We did experience some anti social behaviour in the early hours of four mornings but the management team listened to us and moved us. We could not have asked for better service. Obrigada Hotel Pestana Royal!

Having read some negative reviews about this hotel on trip advisor I was hesitant in booking, however these were completely unfounded. We have just spent a glorious week being very well looked after at the Pestana Royal Hotel. We have just spent a glorious week being very well looked after at the Pestana Royal Hotel. Every member of staff was courteous and wanted to make one's stay as relaxed as possible. Katarina was particularly kind and helpful and went the extra mile to make sure arrangements went smoothly re our chosen excursions through 'Feeling Madeira' agency. The hotel facilities are good, the AI drinks package is excellent and the food options beautifully prepared and well presented. This was our second holiday with Jet2 and each time we have been impressed by Jet2 staff welcome and courtesy. Edouardo our holiday representative in Madeira was excellent. Jet2 staff always seem very attentive to travellers needs. Highly recommended.
