Perfect relaxing holiday in an amazing place

We had a fabulous holiday. Beautiful little island with great beaches. White powder sand and blue seas. The greeting of the sea plane was lovely, we felt really welcome and so special.

Our room was lovely (over water pool villa). Anwar looked after us really well. Always plenty of cold water and drinks in the fridge. The room was clean and spacious. The floating breakfast was good fun.
The WhatsApp method of communication with reception and house keeping works really well. Used it for a couple of enquiries and got an instant response. Great Wi-Fi service in our villa and in other indoor areas (bar, reception etc).
We liked that Brennia is not over developed, and is quite authentic. People who holiday here need to accept that this is a remote tropical island where the staff work hard to make a great environment for a real experience of the Maldives. I do struggle with some of the criticisms I’ve read in other reviews, which are really unnecessary and unkind.
Global warming and erosion is impacting on the Maldives, and we could see the team here worked hard to try and manage this at Brennia.
The food was good, loved the fruit bar. We ate at one of the restaurants and would recommend despite the additional cost which wasn’t expensive.
Cocktails were ok, but the quality of the spirits wasn’t brilliant in the all inclusive package, but we found what we did like and stuck with it.
The dining room does get a little hot, but this is a tropical island after all, so what would you expect? Air conditioning isn’t the answer, we just adjusted to the heat after a couple of days. We went on holiday in February to get away from the cold!
We took advantage of the free snorkelling trip, the guide was great. Also, canoeing and paddle boarding.
No need to pack shoes, we lived in flip flops! We loved it

Magnificent view and crystal clear water

thanks to the hotel, the staff and especially Raku singh raj kumar abd raj who have been kind and caring in the way they work in the room and interact with us.
The food at the hotel was varied and of good quality.

This island was not really the best spot for snorkeling but we saw gigantic rays of almost 1m80.
We came from another island in the Maldives just before and we still felt a drop in the quality of staff management (having to come back to ask for a request several times, waiting times before the table is set up at the cafeteria, not to be refilled with water when the glass was empty, etc.) although the staff obviously remains courteous and kind.
It would have been nice to have vanity kits and fresh coffee options in the in-room all-inclusive drinks and also air conditioning in dining areas.
We didn't like the mocktails which were too sweet for our taste. We still have very good memories, we really appreciated the fact that the gym and games room was open 24/7.

Fantastic honeymoon

We came here for the last leg of our honeymoon and were blown away by how incredible it is here. The island is beautiful and the overwater bungalow with pool is just amazing.
The staff are all welcoming and friendly and so helpful.

Especially our housekeeper Raj Kumar Paul who went above and beyond on everything. We had an issue with the outdoor light and contacted the reception twice to fix it, however they didn’t send anyone out. When we asked Raj if he knew, he was able to do it in seconds for us (turns out it was switched off at the top). The room each day was airless too which was really appreciated.
Another thing I would mention about our time here is how hot the dining and bar areas are. There is no air con or fans and it gets pretty uncomfortable to eat as it’s so hot in these places. The staff are all amazing however it must be really difficult to work with no breeze.
The food however was really good and different each day with a good variety.
Activities wise we did snorkelling, the sunset cruise and the floating breakfast which were all great!
All in all we have had the most amazing time here and would recommend it to everyone.

To start on a positive the over water bungalow with pool was absolutely fantastic. The food was quite good. Each night there was a different theme which prevented the food from becoming repetitive. We had a really small issue with the room where the outside light was non functioning we raised this with the reception team twice who advised that they would send someone to take a look for us. This never happened during our stay. However, when I mentioned the issue to the extremely helpful house keeper Raj Kumar Paul. He managed to fix the issue for us. On top of this he ensured our room was spotless and was extremely pleasant to deal with. Raj is a true asset to your team and is the reason we have given a 5* review. Without Raj this review would have been 4*.

Our stay at Brennia Hotel was simply unforgettable! The entire resort is very well-maintained, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and perfectly taken care of.

The stunning sandy beaches that surround the entire island are a true highlight – perfect for relaxing and soaking in the breathtaking natural beauty. Although the hotel isn’t brand new, it is still in excellent condition and exudes a charming, authentic atmosphere.
The absolute standout of our trip, however, was the diving school – especially thanks to our dive guide, Ishan. His deep knowledge of the dive spots and their unique features made every dive an extraordinary experience. He knows exactly where to find the most fascinating underwater sites and ensures that you’re always in the right place at the right time.
Even if you’ve never dived before: Take a leap of faith and have this incredible experience with Ishan! You won’t regret it. Thanks to him, we had unforgettable underwater adventures.
We highly recommend Brennia Hotel and can’t wait to return!
