Definitely a mistake to chose this hotel

No free wifi offered! And luggage man very rude. The room is big but old, so is the air conditioner, making loud noises. Pool view room near the main block would be affected by the bar downstarirs, which keeps playing loud music at night. The hotel is far from cityNo free wifi offered! And luggage man very rude. We booked through a travel agents, big mistake and tagged a stay here after a Nile cruise ,which, although fabulous, was really tiring. The plan was to relax in beautiful surroundings with good food .

Beach is lovely.
We were here for 3 nights, that was more than enough.

BAD HOTEL,NOT FOR US BRITISH!!

Arrived on the 17th sept as a family in 2 rooms. Was around midnight when we got there and had no water in room. Room was very outdated and rails falling of the wall in room 1210 also had a very musty smell. By the end of 18th sept weArrived on the 17th sept as a family in 2 rooms. Was around midnight when we got there and had no water in room. Room was very outdated and rails falling of the wall in room 1210 also had a very musty smell. By the end of 18th sept we all had bad stomach's due to the food and drink so had to then eat out for the remaining 8 days. Beds,towels and pool towels were not changed in the 10 days we stayed and glasses at bars were very dirty. Most of the sunbeds around the pool are broken and even though it said pool was open from 8am it was still being cleaned after 9am so was refused entry to use it and often closed before the 6pm scheduled time. This hotel only caters for locals,the food is the same every day for breakfast,lunch and dinner and the snack bar at the beach is only open 3-5 and only serves hotdogs and pizza if your lucky enough to get any. There is no selection anywhere for children. Entertainment team tried there best but again same thing everyday,we didn't see any of the evening entertainment due to having to get a taxi 25mins each way to eat out every night. If looking for somewhere to eat out i highly recommended luca's English bar at the marina. I wouldn't return to this hotel and i certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Check in was very late due to a delay with our transfer, the reception staff were very accommodating, although we were not given wrist bands and weren't really provided with a great deal of information. We'd booked as 2 couples on 1 booking and emailed and asked for rooms closeCheck in was very late due to a delay with our transfer, the reception staff were very accommodating, although we were not given wrist bands and weren't really provided with a great deal of information. We'd booked as 2 couples on 1 booking and emailed and asked for rooms close together, on arrival we had been allocated rooms on totally opposite sides of the hotel. They did manage to change so we were closer after we asked. There was a small buffet selection available from the alacarte restaurant in reception, however after being sent there from reception the guy inside was very confused as we weren't on the list and then left us stood waiting to enter for around 10 minutes with very little explanation of the issue.
Rooms - the rooms are lovely, very spacious and the en suite has a bath which was nice. Cleaned to a high standard each day & towels (including pool towels) replaced daily if left out. Mahmood was our regular room cleaner and his service was exceptional. Very friendly and kind and flexible with our requirements. General condition and decoration was very good.
Food - one of the smallest selections of buffet food I've come across especially for a 5 star rated hotel. Although most of what was offered was to a fairly good standard. General service in the buffet resteraunts was poor and I wouldn't rate it above a 3 star on this section.
Al a carte ... oriental - terrible! Absolutely nothing oriental about the food. It is a general buffet with way less choice than the standard buffet. Plain rice, beef burgers, chicken & minestrone soup isn't oriental 🫣
Italian - they cook small pizzas to order around a 15 minute wait, mixed reviews in our group. I found them nice and was nice to have something freshly cooked but a friend struggled with the amount of cheese, unfortunately bar the pizzas everything else was standard poor level buffet food.
Bars - only 3 bars, hotel reception, pool bar & beach (ish) bar. Service was atrocious, left waiting constantly for far 2 long even with no queues... mostly drinks were served in tiny plastic children sized cups. There was 1 member of staff who stood out from rhe crowd "Ahmed Atla" the rest however offered the poorest service level I've ever found in Egypt. Tipping made no difference what so ever to service provided.
Animation/ entertainment - the animation team were lovely but there was 1 wake up / morning song, a stretching class & aqua aerobics a couple of songs/dances in the afternoon and that was pretty much it. Evening entertaining was fairly non existing and what was on wasn't great. Unless you want to pay to go out clubbing in Hurghada you were left to your own devices at night with very little to do.
Beach - beautiful beach and lovely jetty / pier you can get in around half way down and there were some fish you could swim around with, nothing too spectacular but something.
Hotel Bazar is OK although shops over priced and shop keepers and quite pushy even for Egypt! Pharmacy wanted to charge £15 for a small mix of cream for a Mosquito bite. The pharmacy at senzo mall charged $2 for the same thing.
Spa / Beauty Centre - Exceptional! Not too pushy, happy to haggle a little and very very good service offered at very reasonable prices. All welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for you!
Trips - Ali & Osama were lovely. Really helpful and very lovely guys. The trips were overpriced however and they weren't allowed to drop the prices to anything that became reasonable. Orange Bay was £15pp more expensive than Get your Guide for the same trip. For a group of 4 people that's £60 above the going rate so we unfortunately didn't end up using them which is a shame as they were really lovely guys.
Pools - a seperate child's pool but for very small children. Therefore bigger kids were using the main pool where the pool bar was, there was a rope to section off the shallower end but it was quite busy mainly with children in the deeper end as well. The cleanliness of the pool was very good and the lifeguards were all fantastic and did a great job trying to keep unattended children under control!! A man who appeared to be the boss of the lifeguards came over and appeared to be shouting at them on one day though, I found that unprofessional and all the lifeguards looked upset and sad afterwards. Considering they're about the only people who do a very good job consistently I didn't think this was appropriate and it wasn't nice to see them looking down. They were a million times more productive and interactive before he came over.
Waterpark - the actual hotel complex has 3 small slides more suited to children that adults although adults are allowed they're very tame. The hotel waterpark is across the road and is really good! Some decent quick slides and some more chilled ones. Toilets, shower a bar and sunbeds all over there. Defo worth a visit over. Shout out to 2 of the staff who were very welcoming and friendly and to all of the lifeguards.
