I absolutely love this hotel we can’t fault it at all, we have been here for many years other than when covid hit and we couldn’t go. However two years later It was fantastic again and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone, it’s just beautiful. 5*

The staff make this resort as they are so kind and genuine. We are lucky because we’ve been several times and the staff are still there. You slip straight into the holiday due to their kindness. This is also a great sign as the turnover is stable with hard working kind people who cannot do enough for you. Our favourite people are Nelly, Sabrina,Herm, maradonna, Melissa, Joy, Raquel, Nicole, Janice, Michelle, Suzette, Adrian bar, Elizabeth bar Andrina the cook all these people are such a big part of turtle beach. It was my birthday when I was there and they made it a wonderful day. The food is really nice, the cocktails and the grounds are beautiful, resort is clean and the beach is stunning. Thank you it was another brilliant holiday we will be back next year.

We are just coming to the end of our 11 night stay at Turtle Beach. Like you reading this review, we spent time reading countless others and we were a little nervous with the bad reviews. However we decided to come with an open mind and no pre judgement andWe are just coming to the end of our 11 night stay at Turtle Beach. Like you reading this review, we spent time reading countless others and we were a little nervous with the bad reviews. However we decided to come with an open mind and no pre judgement and this was the correct decision.
Personally I can't understand where the bad reviews have come from as this wasn't our experience and we don't agree with them.
Staff
Every single staff member has been exceptional, we were greeted kindly by the reception staff on checking in. They explained the lay of the land, how we go about booking meals and how to access the WiFi. We were offered a welcome drink whilst we filled out the forms required for our stay, the all inclusive starts as soon as you enter.
The bar staff always offering us drinks and recommendations should you be undecided, regularly coming around the pools to offer beverages and bring them to you. The restaurant staff always asking how our day has been taking an interest and making it more personal. The cleaners always greet you with a smile, the maintenance and gardeners doing there part and being just as friendly. Not one single time did we experience any rudeness or disinterest.
Food
The meal options consist of the buffet breakfast in the main chelonia open air restaurant each morning. Lunch was buffet in the Sand trap restaurant or Chelonia. Evening meal was a mix of buffets in those or A La Carte in the Italian. Each morning you were given a daily programme explaining where each meal was and what it was amongst other items such as daily pop up bars and entertainment. You could also use the onsite cafe shop from 7-6 and the ice cream parlor 11-6. Both offering delicious items to enjoy.
It's important to remember after each meal you are given a zero invoice bill to sign which caught us off guard at first. The breakfast consisted of the same items daily but you could vary your choice to avoid having the same. The best option for breakfast was the egg station where you could have fresh omelette, fried and poached eggs. These were very good. I would advise the hotel to change their bacon and sausages as these weren't nice and we avoided them after the first day. You could also sample cereals, fruit, yogurts and the normal fare.
Lunch and evening meals were excellent, a choice of meats all tender, juicy and full of flavour. Soups, rice and vegetable dishes and others. In no doubt some of the best food we have eaten on holiday.
Rooms/facilities
We had 2 ocean suite deluxe rooms for our stay. Great views of the sea, large and spacious and very clean. Some of the furniture a little tired but all perfectly serviceable. The bathroom large with a shower over the bath, pressure was good and got hot. There was a large TV, tea and coffee facilities, safe, iron and iron board, hair dryer and robes to wear. Plenty of hangers in the wardrobes and a good size fridge.
The hotel has 2 good size pools, another smaller pool for children and a jacuzzi. Note only 2 jets worked out of all so it was more like a small pool. The hotel provides floats, balls other things to use so no need to pack your own. Towels are collected each morning from the wooden shack on the beach, always clean and smelling fresh.
The hotel was quiet during our stay only about 8 people around our pool each day so no problem picking a sunbed. I would estimate the hotel being about 20% occupied. There were plenty of umbrellas and the beds have thick red mattresses so very comfortable. No back or bum aches.
The beach had older sunbeds, not many used them and the beach was quiet. The sea abit more wavey but still no issues to go in and swim. The locals are very friendly and like to chat to you. You might get offered a little something but they were never pushy and wished you a nice day after you said no thankyou.
The hotel has a good size gym, games area and children's play park. There are tennis courts a couple of shops in the hotel too. We took the hotel shuttle to Ostins one Friday and it was an experience. Very busy and loud. Many rum shacks and souvenir stalls. We had a few drinks but didn't eat as the queues were very long. It's not a place we would rush back to but we are glad we went. The hotel is very much a relaxing break and not one for people who want a lively atmosphere.
We want to thank everyone who made our holiday blissful, relaxing and enjoyable we would definitely consider coming back to this hotel in the future after their refurbishment let's just hope the price doesn't sky rocket. Best wishes

We have just returned from Turtle Beach having spent two lovely weeks on holiday there.We have had many happy times there and this was no exception. The staff are very special,Maradona an asset to any hotel,Sherall ,always kind and caring,Joy a lovely waitress and so many others. The hotel is due to close for a much needed refurb.We just hope that Marriot keep all the lovely staff and the character of the place.We look forward to seeing them all again soon.

This was our first trip to Barbados and won’t be the last.
This hotel is comfortable and friendly. The staff make you feel special and go above and beyond. The rooms are clean and comfortable with plenty of space for storage of clothes and cases. The rooms have a safe,This was our first trip to Barbados and won’t be the last.
This hotel is comfortable and friendly. The staff make you feel special and go above and beyond. The rooms are clean and comfortable with plenty of space for storage of clothes and cases. The rooms have a safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee facilities and a mini fridge which was stocked with the basics (pop, juice, water and beer)
The hotel has a casual feel. No stuffy formal dinners although you can book the a la cart restaurant if you wish.
The food was tasty and of good quality. It’s worth noting that all dining is open air so no air con, although there are fans. The birds do try and come and steal leftover food - so don’t leave your plate unattended!
All the staff were amazing, but special mention to Nicole (Delicious) who makes amazing eggs and is a ray of sunshine, Maradona and Sheneka for the drinks by the pool as well as fresh fruit, cool towels and ice lollies, Romar, Tyson and Winston for fantastic bar service and last but definitely not least, Elizabeth, who is an excellent bar tender, attentive and remembered our names and usual drinks from day one. They really made our holiday special
