The lounge is particularly very nice and the staff which name called Ranjib is very kind and take good customer.
The food is various in the big restaurant but a little bit noisy in August.
The room is clean and nice.
The reception is very efficient when you need something.

Mixed reviews, some good and bad points

We recently stayed here for 11 nights. We found the hotel to be far too busy. The restaurants were always heaving which made it difficult to find a table. The empty tables that were there still had not been cleared and were filthy.
There were often no cups or glassesWe recently stayed here for 11 nights. We found the hotel to be far too busy. The restaurants were always heaving which made it difficult to find a table. The empty tables that were there still had not been cleared and were filthy.
There were often no cups or glasses left to get a drink or the drinks machines were broken. The food was very repetitive but plenty of choice (the bookable restaurants were very nice).
Even though the hotel was full to capacity they still sold day passes for guests to visit the hotel at the weekends and even reserved them tables which meant the paying guests at the hotel found it even more difficult to get a table which I thought was very unfair.
The pools on level 0 were ridiculously busy and you needed to get up very early to get a lounger. People would put their towels on the loungers early in the morning and sometimes not even use them until the afternoon if they’d gone out in the morning.
The infinity pool, adults only pool was much better but you still had to get there dead on 9 when it opened to get a lounger. The pool was nice and relaxing with amazing views across the bay although had a big scum line and balls of hair in the overflow bit which was very off putting. It states only 18 people in the pool at one time but it was always way over that.
The bar staff were all very friendly but overworked, often only one person per bar which always had very long queues, but they always had a smile on their face and were friendly especially Lee in the Kosy bar who had only just started. He always remembered what we were drinking and was always smiling. Ramman was also very friendly and welcoming. As for the cafe, Ajui was extremely rude, never smiled, slammed our drinks down on the counter not even acknowledging us like we were a nuisance. Sally in the cafe was very nice and welcoming.
Our room was nice and always clean, we had a street view which we liked as we like to people watch. On our anniversary we were left swans made from the towels and a cake with happy anniversary on. At dinner the Salia restaurant also gave us a dessert with food sparkler on which was really lovely. The air conditioning in the room often smelt funny but did keep us cool.
The lifts were crazy, you have to scan your card or tap what floor you want and it told you which lift to use, A, B etc. These would takes ages to come and then were completely full as so many people were waiting and there was no air conditioning in them so it was stupidly hot in them.
On the last couple of days my husband started to feel poorly, constantly coughing, sore throat, shivers etc. I also started coughing, with a runny nose and sore throat on our way home.
I started feeling better but my husband got worse and so went to the dr. The dr thinks he has Legionnaires disease
Which is often caused by contaminated water in air conditioning units or dirty swimming pools. Luckily he went straight to the drs on our return as he felt so poorly. He’s on antibiotics and an inhaler and is awaiting the results.
Overall the hotel is lovely but far too busy everywhere and the pools need to be cleaned.
I would say if you have no children and you can use the adults only section and eat at the bookable restaurants then
I’d recommend it but otherwise it’s far too manic in the main pool and restaurant areas.
The thing I would say is it’s in a great location. For visiting the beautiful sights of Malta.

Brilliant you will love it!

Just returned. Absolutely brilliant time. Hotel extremely clean food good. Usual morning rush for sunbeds. Pool staff work so hard to keep everywhere clean. Kids pirate ship a good added bonus but staircase crazy to get to it. Drinks were all good quality.

Lift system takes a bit of getting used to.
Animation team work hard mixture of adult and kids activities.
Would definitely recommend .

We have been to many places but DB San Antonio was really amazing! Book this hotel, you will never regret!
First time I relaxed so much, we would stay for longer if we could!

Had the best holiday with all family. Very comfortable rooms, always clean, great view. Tasty and fresh food every day, comfortable dining rooms. Roof top swimming pool is absolutely outstanding! To be honest, didn’t expect this from Malta.
Also, we really loved the entertainment, want to say a big thank for all reception, bar and staff teams - Natacha and Mon and other Argentinian lady with blond hair- sorry, forgot the name. Everyone was so kind and helpful and polite.
A specially want to say a big thank you for Talita, Lucas. Talita made me want to come back again to this hotel - next year will be back and bring my family and friends! Talita’s pool gym sessions, dancing pool lessons, her vibe is incredible! Music was great and her energy was always on the top! Mine 5 and 7 years old kids joined me every day with her 10:30 am stretching classes outdoor, kids club at 3:00 pm and I had yoga with Talita- was looking forward for this classes every morning upon waking up. Also, evening dancing with Talita was joyful for all kids! Definitely would like to come and visit again, she made our stay very special!

Fun family friendly holiday

Just had a week stay here with my kids. Fantastic family friendly hotel. A few notes.

For an all inclusive, the quality and choice of food was exceptional, especially dinner which changed every night. The Asian and Indian restaurants were also very good and provided a nice change from the buffet.
Hotel is super clean, rooms cleaned daily. So many staff who work very hard across the hotel. The animation crew were superb and every day they provided pool activities for both kids and adults.
Had no issues at all with air con in the room, it was absolutely fine.
Good Wi-Fi although this doesn’t work around the pool area.
Drinks were a disappointment. All inclusive drinks served in very small glasses, and plastic cups. Beer wasn’t even half a pint. Local spirits were cheap and not very nice.
Obviously being high season the hotel was extremely busy and crowded, heightened by weekends when locals can purchase day passes to visit the hotel. Sunday lunch seemed popular and as a result the main restaurant was very overcrowded as was the pool. Maybe there should be more restrictions on the number of people allowed to buy day passes and priority given to in-house guests.
Sunbed situation was sadly a case of, if you can’t beat them, join them, so if you didn’t go down to the pool early to reserve beds, you didn’t get one. Sad but true.
If you’re travelling without children, upgrade to all inclusive plus to give access to the adults only pool and lounge, which looked nice and calm compared to the main pool and restaurant.
All in all, a great stay and exactly what I was looking for.
