A perfect holiday in all aspects

The ultimate holiday experience.
From start to finish a perfect holiday which will be hard to compete with going forward.
The food was amazing and being a Coeliac I was catered for including gluten free beer at every restaurant,pool and on the beach.

Ikos Aria... Oh, the high hopes we had for you.

We have stayed at Ikos Olivia and Oceania previously. Both of which are excellent.
Ikos Aria, however, was a large letdown.
The food was mediocre—nowhere near 5*, 3-4* at best. There was barely any flavour in most dishes, and the presentation was lacking. Regarding an undercooked piece of cod, IWe have stayed at Ikos Olivia and Oceania previously. Both of which are excellent.

The food was mediocre—nowhere near 5*, 3-4* at best. There was barely any flavour in most dishes, and the presentation was lacking. Regarding an undercooked piece of cod, I queried it with the waitress, only to be told, "Oh, was you expecting it to be more like fish and chips?" Wild. I assume because we were British, she thought we only ate fish battered and with a side of chips. I was not very impressed by that response at all.
The app is good for booking reservations. However, you could never get a table booking before 8:30 pm, even looking days in advance. And when you did arrive for your meal at 8:30pm the restaurants were 90% of the time desolate with maybe two other couples... Really depressing with a cold atmosphere. We once had a booking at 9 pm and walked into the restaurant with not a single other person in there, just the staff walking around... We up and left after our drinks came as no one else arrived.
The resort itself is well maintained and looked after, the rooms themselves have some wear and tear that need to be looked at with walls peeling and stained furniture.
We usually book a sea view bungalow, but due to us booking late, we had to stay in the main hotel due to availability. Big Mistake.
The room we initially had was overlooking the bin storage. Being woken up 7am by lorries pulling into the loading bay with their engines running and carting bins back and forth. AWFUL. The fact they have that so near to the balconies of the side of the hotel is ridiculous.
The room also had a door that joins with the next room. The door shouldn't have bothered to have been there; it was like a piece of paper was separating the rooms. You can hear EVERYTHING next door; people talking quietly sounded like they were in bed with you, it was terrible.
Complained, and a few days later, they moved us to another room near the front of the hotel, away from the bin storage and to a room with no 'in-between door'. This room was great, and we didn't hear a peep from other guests for the rest of the stay and wasn't awoken by bins being organised and collected at 7am.
After speaking with the Manager, he informed us they are in the process of removing all the in-between doors as they have had so many complaints, so bear that in mind when booking to request a room without the door!
Last thing to add about Aria is this is heavily targeted towards families, which is not the impression you get when viewing the resorts website. Every pool is occupied by children and babies. Compared with Olivia and Oceania the Adult areas/Adult pools are nice and quiet. The 'adult' pool area at Aria is located in the 'Deluxe' area and is TINY. There is about 10 sunbeds that fit around the pool AND it has no sea view. It's completely covered behind high bushes so you cannot see out to the resort or the sea...It sort of an after thought and shoved in a really unappealing section of the resort. We didn't go there once during our stay after having a look at it.
We had such high hopes after visiting Ikos's previously, but this really was below par and not worthy of the 'Ikos' namesake in my opinion.
If you are a couple wanting a nice All inclusive greek get away, without screaming kids, sub par food and mediocre rooms. Go to Olivia/Oceania/Dassia.
Bonus points - Renting Tesla's to explore the island is great. But book about 2 months before you go...

First Class Kos

Simply amazing from arrival to departure and everything in between a first class experience - however as children go for free with some agents I would have hated school holidays. But fair play first class as we were there for a friends wedding. Exceptional Family Holiday beyond our expectations

Our family holiday at IKOS ARIA was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
I have to mention that we had a very rough and stressful travelOur family holiday at IKOS ARIA was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
I have to mention that we had a very rough and stressful travel and arrived with hours of delays at Ikos, but I want to especially highlight the warm welcome received by Concierge Ilija and his team: upon arrival they made us immediately feel special and "at home" and all stress fell down.
The structure of the hotel is impressive, with beautifully designed rooms and common areas that are both elegant and cozy. We were particularly impressed with the facilities for kids. There were plenty of activities to keep our little one entertained, from the kids' club to the playground and the splash pad Kid's pool.
The staff is super friendly with the kids and the structure is truly adapted for kids.
We had wonderful Junior suite with private garden and sea view, which was a perfect match for our toddler that we really enjoyed as our son is kind of an early-bird and several times we were able to watch the sunrise.
The dining options were also top-notch, with a variety of delicious meals that catered to both adults and children. In every restaurant there is also a separate kid's menu. To fully enjoy the dinner, whenever with our toddler it was not possible to remain seated all the time, the staff even served us the desert in our room (accompanied of course with a bottle of wine). That was really amazing and for us the extra service we honestly didn't even expect before.
We enjoyed especially the breakfast and dinner at the restaurant "Kos", with of course offered very good traditional greek food, but in particular to be mentioned is the super professional and friendly staff of the restaurant.
A special mention goes also to the Guest Manager Andre Cohen, who provided exceptional service throughout our stay and was always available to assist with any requests to make sure that every aspect of our holiday was perfect.
Overall, IKOS Aria exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to any family looking for a perfect holiday destination (especially also with toddlers). We think that we are going to try another IKOS resort next year at a different location, but we can't wait to come back to IKOS!

I wonderful resort experience. The rooms are beautifully designed. The food options are amazing and the staff are friendly and well trained. Someone even came to the sun decks and cleaned my glasses for me whilst I was lying there. The little touches go a long way.I wonderful resort experience. The rooms are beautifully designed. Nothing is too much trouble. This was our second Ikos holiday (Corfu last year) and we have already booked for Halkidiki next year.
